About Conrad Galvan

Conrad Galvan is a Dallas native and a sports enthusiast. In 1970, he was one of two players from Texas chosen to participate in the U.S. Junior Olympic Soccer Team. While attending Thomas Jefferson High School, he was the captain of the 1973 state-champion soccer team and was named regional all-American and most valuable offensive player of the year. Conrad also toured Europe with the1972 Texas Longhorns Soccer Team.

Conrad started his food-industry career at age 15, working for Cantu’s Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas. Learning the business from the ground up, he worked as a dishwasher, assistant cook and then busboy. He later worked as a bartender at Casita Dominguez and managed the bar at Alaman’s, and worked for a while in the corporate offices of S&A Restaurant Group (Steak & Ale and Bennigan’s restaurants). More recently, Conrad treated guests royally at Cantina Laredo (where he gained notoriety as the singing/dancing waiter), Don Pablo’s, Mi Cocina and Luna de Noche restaurants. He was the Director of Operations for Luna de Noche for several years until he opened his own restaurant, Senor Conrad’s Tex-Mex Grill, in Frisco, Texas in 2007.

Conrad and his wife, Jill, have been married for 25 years and have three awesome children. Over the years, he has coached many little league sports teams and, along with his family, is active in church. His great passions are hospitality, enjoying great food, spending time with friends and family, and golfing!
